Voyage into the mysterious ways and ancient lore of the Scottish Borders with five strange new tales of the ghostly and weird. A failed singer is trapped in a snowy night encounter at Abbotsford that results in a close shave with Sir Walter Scott and Lord Byron’s ghost. Victorian fishermen attempt a ghastly experiment in Melrose Abbey that opens a necromantic portal with eerie consequences. A young thief lying low as a lady amanuensis discovers that the old Ancrum bridge and the strange labourer she meets there open a crossing into a different sinister time from which there may be no return journey. Cross the borders and prepare to shiver.

Welcome to Bourjo Press
Our first title The Cellarman is available now as an ebook.
John wants to be an artist but instead he spends most of his time avoiding student Molly who adores him and pining for the goth girl Marianne who he first saw in a graveyard. Earning a meagre living at the Black Dragon pub in Hayds as a bar and cellarman, he finally meets his muse. But appearances can be deceptive. She is a young mother escaping from an unhappy marriage. And he is not sure if art is enough anymore.
A print edition will be available later in the year.
